When you stick with the toning long en...Well-done!<br /><br />When you stick with the toning long enough to see the shaping it produces, you'll be hooked -- and I suspect that if you persist with the strengthening you'll find that the weight gain is temporary and just has to do with muscle vs. fat.<br /><br />You could also look into toning workouts that use much less weight to focus on shaping more than on building. One I like is called Pilates Sculpt by Break-Thru Fitness. Pilates in general is good for shaping without bulking, but if you do it via a video you have to be careful about form -- it's rather easy to cheat.
